In our initial Master Plan, we proposed an urban revewal of this suburban area based on the creation of “urban oases.” This figure conveys the idea of concentrating programs, services, and natural environments, all within very targeted areas. A soil enrichment process transformed vast expanses of parking lots into a more “natural” environment capable of supporting extensive planting. Thanks to the evolution and densification of the built environment during the update of the Master Plan, we were able to apply this method at all scales of the project. We created actual parks and enhanced greenery along traffic corridors through a network of wooded strips.
