This vast 16-hectare flooded urban park was created on the site of the former Canet marshalling yard. This future structuring landscape for the northern districts of Marseille is part of the urban renewal operation led by Euroméditerranée. Crossed by two renatured watercourses, the Ruisseau des Aygalades and its tributary the Ruisseau des Lions, the issue of water is at the heart of its simple, coherent layout. The project is inspired by the landscape of the Provençal valleys, which are naturally resilient in the face of hazards (flooding and drought) and rich in a wide variety of ecological environments.
