Our design for this new oasis neighborhood in Gurugram, a satellite city of New Delhi, seamlessly blends water and vegetation, expanding the city’s networks of landscapes and waterways. The new landscape deftly juxtaposes geometric, clean lines with fluid, natural shapes, in a duality-driven composition that echoes the surrounding environment. The Promenade follows the layout of the residential towers in a gently curved line. Surfaced in simple and uniform Indian sandstone, this central hardscape structure features a range of laying patterns and finishes. It runs alongside the Waterway that flows throughout the entire site. Along the buildings, the Waterway forms a border marked with clean, geometric, hardscape lines. The Park holds a free-flowing counterpoint: here, the water’s edge is wild and bursting with lush plants. The rolling hills of the Park frame picturesque views and elevate the experience of the space. Informal pathways wind throughout the Park, lined with native trees and shrubs found in the local semi-arid forest. Here and there, open lawns shape multi-use spaces perfect for various activities. The lush vegetation grows in rich layers filled with large trees, shrubs, and groundcover plants, infusing the changing landscape with beauty year-round. The Parkway, a green boulevard densely planted with acacia and flamboyant trees, offers cooling shade to those entering this new neighborhood.
